Roots
Valley Hum draws inspiration from many long decades of somatic movement innovators and liberation-oriented community connectors who helped make the Connecticut River Valley a vibrant home for creative expression. We honor root teachers-organizers include Nancy Stark Smith, Janet Adler, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Sojourner Truth and Ross House/NAEI, to name but a few.
This initiative is currently administered on a volunteer basis by Christopher Collins. Christopher also directs the Hidden Temple, a Florence-based gathering place and event rental venue, promoting creative expression, somatic intelligence and conscious relating.
